Have you heard the word about lungworm?

Posted: 9th May 2018

Lungworm is spread to dogs when they eat snails and slugs, but also by eating the grass they have been on!

Make sure your dog is protected against this sneaky parasite.

If you aren't sure if they are protected, give us a call at any of our branches for product advice.

Cats

Cats can also contract lung worm but with a few differences to dogs. Cat lung worm is a different species and it is less prevalent (infections less common).

This particular worm can be contracted by eating birds, snails and rodents. The prevention products for lung worm in dogs and cats are prescription only worming treatments...

We are more than happy to answer any questions if you call us at one of our clinics.
