Vets and nurses on the premises 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
If you need us for an urgent enquiry of an emergency just call, we answer the phone 24 hours a day (01235) 524 777. Emergencies in the night are seen at our Abingdon Veterinary Surgery. Please note we have a reduced staffing level at night so we would kindly ask that for routine enquiries and appointments you call during our main opening hours.
Charlene is originally from Dorset and completed her veterinary nursing degree at Myerscough School of Veterinary Nursing in July 2012. She has been a member of the Abivale family since 2015.
Charlene really enjoys the medical side of nursing – spending time with each patient and getting to know their personalities. The compassion she shows every patient is amazing and it truly makes their stay with us a more enjoyable one. Saying goodbye when they go home is always a happy moment – but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss them. When Charlene isn’t making our patients feel at home she also enjoys assisting with diagnostic imaging – x-rays, ultrasounds, and endoscopy.
Loving all types of animals is part of the job but Charlene is partial to the odd guinea pig - who can resist their squishy little faces and their chubby little bodies?
When your furbabies have to spend time away from home it can be a little scary for them. Our nursing team takes the time with every patient to get to know their personalities, give them cuddles when they need comfort, and convince them to eat in a strange environment which is not always an easy task! Our nurses make our hospital a home away from home for our patients and we thank them for the care they take.
We are fortunate at Abivale Vets to have an amazing team of committed, talented and enthusuastic staff.
We are dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary services for you and your pets, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
